Thank you for participating in the Boulder County hazard mitigation planning process. Your feedback will help us better understand community perceptions and needs related to natural hazards. This survey should take about five minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous and will be used to inform future planning and outreach efforts.

Hazard mitigation is a: "sustained action taken to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property from hazards and their effects." There are many hazards that can impact Boulder County, including wildfire, flood, drought, extreme heat, and a number of others. A hazard mitigation plan (HMP) is required for communities to become eligible for certain mitigation grant funding programs. This community plan documents the overall mitigation strategy and specific mitigation actions and projects that our communities would like to implement to increase resiliency to future disaster events.
